Welcome
Welcome to my website.
My name is Christine Linfield and I have a private practice near Moretonhampstead on Dartmoor in Devon and also see clients online via zoom.
Almost all of us experience challenging or painful times during our lives; psychotherapy offers us the opportunity to come to know and be ourselves more fully and more freely.
Core Process Psychotherapy is a mindfulness-based psychotherapy that brings together a western approach to human development with a Buddhist understanding of how we integrate body and mind. The starting point is a gentle but deep enquiry into one's present moment experience; this may include our thoughts, but also what we are feeling and sensing. This form of psychotherapy can be used to explore many different issues and my experience is that it can be transformative.
I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy . My approach is collaborative and relational. I work openly with you to whatever is causing distress and suffering. My intention is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can be listened to with sensitivity and compassion and without judgement.
The website can only give a small sense of what the experience of therapy might be like. I hope it may answer some of the questions you may have in mind if you are considering psychotherapy.
